Lost foam technology has been applied in China since 1990s. After several decades of development, the industry standard of lost foam casting in China has been greatly improved, the processing of ductile casting has become an important part of the casting industry. The state has focused on EPC technology as a high new technology widely used in the transformation of traditional foundry industry. However, the level of EPC production in developed countries is far ahead of that in China.

At present, EPC Technology in China is widely used in the following aspects.

The types of alloy castings that can be used are common carbon steel, gray cast iron, nodular cast iron, special cast iron (high chromium cast iron, etc.), aluminum alloy, special cast steel (high Mn steel, Ni Cr heat-resistant steel), low C steel stainless steel.
